Los Angeles experienced citywide celebrations after the Los Angeles Dodgers won a thrilling seven-match World Series championship. Fans across the globe joined Angelenos in celebration, marking the first time in a quarter-century that a franchise has secured consecutive championships.
Victory Parade Draws Enormous Crowds
Local celebrations featured a procession through the city center on the morning of the parade, a ticketed rally at Dodger Stadium, and spontaneous parties across the city.
Social media videos depict countless of Los Angeles residents packing city center avenues, many carrying homemade signs and team flags. The team was seen riding high on a open-top bus through the masses, hoisting the championship trophy high.
