A 60-day voyage around the Australian Coast has been cancelled in the wake of the death of an senior female passenger who was abandoned by the cruise liner on a isolated island.

The passenger had been walking on the tropical location with fellow passengers from the Coral Adventurer, but parted ways from the group for a pause. The ship left without her and went back several hours later after the ship staff became aware the woman was unaccounted for.

An extensive rescue mission found her body the following day.
