NFL 2025 season: Week six
Real-time updates includes text commentary of the weekend matchups on multiple platforms, starting with the Broncos-Jets clash in London (kicking off at 2 PM BST). Additionally, audio coverage can be heard on designated networks covering another key matchup (from 21:00 BST).
It's week six of the NFL season , following recent talk about two top teams being a potential Super Bowl match-up, they both lost their unbeaten records.
Striking in those games was the number of penalties each conceded. The Eagles did so in key moments so they essentially beat themselves having led 17-3 entering the final quarter versus Denver, who play overseas this Sunday.
But it proved good to see how Denver's QB Bo Nix was able to have that deficit before direct three successful possessions in three attempts during the final period, to win the victory 21-17.
Denver boast the top defender in CB their star corner. They rank first in goal-line defense, while the Eagles lead the league in red zone offence, yet Denver won that battle.
They had effective strategies in terms of simulated pressure. They did not necessarily rushing extra pass rushers instead they might position two linebackers in the 'A' gap then withdrawing them and send a nickel from the outside.
Early on in the campaign, it was noted during a show how the Broncos could be this season's dark horses. They finished last season well then excelled of building upon that.
Are the Denver Broncos this year's dark horses?
Recently acquired tight end their tight end has excelled big and recent RB JK Dobbins is a player the team trusts. He now ranks 5th in the NFL in ground gains (402) and tied-fourth in rushing scores (4).
It's impressive how head coach Sean Payton has "RUN IT!" prominently on his call sheet.
That shows that Denver are a team aiming to run first, because you can achieve much based on that approach. It slows opposing rushes while keeps you in positive situations.
It's also benefited QB the young passer, who came into the league as a first-round selection in the prior draft, throwing 29 touchdown passes – just behind a star QB for the rookie record (31 back in 2020).
Other elite QBs have powerful arms to throw all over, however they don't move the mobility as Nix. He has incredible arm talent, a unique trait, and he is highly agile.
His strengths include his mobility, the capacity to throw while moving, and finding varied release points to make throws when he rolls out of the pocket, on rollouts. He is able to deliver that layered pass over the middle and over the corner.
As a rookie QB, aged 25, he displays a lot of poise in the pocket and isn't bothered by the blitz. He aims to evade being tackled as much as possible and can throw in tight spots. He has sharp intelligence and remains very decisive.
If you constantly run the ball it eats up the clock and makes the opponent to stay on the field extended periods, and if you have a mobile QB the defense must defend the field vertically side to side. It can be draining.
The quarterback has bitten back at Payton on the sideline at times and it seems Payton likes that attitude, that he's such a competitor. In my view it's exciting for the coach to coach a young quarterback who's similar to play-dough. He can really develop him how he wants to build it. I think it's a unique opportunity for him.
The head coach owns a championship and has surpassed Bill Parcells in all-time victories (173, tying for 14th). He has witnessed it all. In my opinion the achievements the Broncos are experiencing on offence is mostly due to his leadership, his schemes, his situational awareness – and the pairing with Nix helps shape him into who he is.
There's no better a better guy guiding you, to assist you during some of the tougher situations and boost self-belief.
I have faith in Denver's defence, in Bo Nix's tenacity and composure. Yet is the team strong enough to face a top squad at full strength? Because that was not championship-level play from Philadelphia last Sunday.
Right now, I don't think the Broncos are incredible. They're performing better than most, which is a good place to be in the AFC West. All they need to do to continue this path.
They excel at leaning into their forte, that is the ground game, and that's exactly what they should do versus the Jets in London. It will likely be the JK Dobbins show, essentially.
New York have allowed 140 yards on the ground each contest (among the worst), five rushing touchdowns this season (in the bottom ten), and they're the sole squad yet to win any game.
Ever since the league began tracking takeaways in 1933, the Jets are the inaugural squad to be without any turnovers through five games, which is kind of shocking when you think that their new coach Aaron Glenn defensive co-ordinator at the Detroit Lions.
Patrick Mahomes stated the Chiefs are off to a poor start following a recent loss by the Jaguars.
After the upcoming matchup, Denver have a manageable slate up to their break (in week twelve) - the Giants, Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans plus Las Vegas Raiders before the Chiefs.
In their division, the Chiefs hold a losing record while Denver are even with the Chargers on 3-2 meaning they could challenge at leading the division.
It depends on which form Kansas City shows up they meet since Denver {beat|def
